| What does a hotel's star rating actually mean?
Despite what some people think, hotel star ratings do not show that a hotel is more expensive or provides a more extravagant service! Hotel star ratings are actually predominantly used to provide information about the general hotel amenities and the range of services on offer at a hotel.
All AMBER HOTELS are three-star or four-star hotels, with the three-star hotels also having the additional rating of being "SUPERIOR" (the rating "Superior" is awarded to hotels at which the range of services offered exceeds requirements):
- 3 stars (***) - COMFORT
Accommodation for high demands
· single room 14m², double room 18m²
· 10% non-smoking rooms
· a separate reception that is staffed for 14 hours a day and
is available 24 hours a day
· bilingual staff, lounge suite at the reception, luggage service
· beverages available in rooms
· telephone and Internet access in the rooms
· heating in the bathroom, hairdryer, cleaning tissues
· large mirror, luggage rack, safe
· sewing kit, shoe cleaning kit, washing and ironing service
· extra pillow and blanket available on request
· systematic complaint management system
- 4 stars (****) - FIRST CLASS
Accommodation for superior demands
· single room 16m², double room 22m²
· a separate reception that is staffed for 18 hours a day and
is available 24 hours a day
· lobby with seating and a beverage service, hotel bar
· breakfast buffet with room service
· minibar or 24-hour beverage availability from room service
· armchair / couch with side table
· bathrobe and slippers available on request
· cosmetic products (e.g. shower cap, nail file, cotton buds),
cosmetic mirror, large storage areas in the bathroom
· internet PC / Internet terminal
· à la carte restaurant
