Jogging in Munich

A fit start to the day! A spot of jogging before breakfast? Make a sporty start to the day in the green surroundings of Munich West: leaving directly from the hotel you can set off on various tracks. Afterwards, an extensive breakfast buffet awaits with a host of refreshments.

Route I (2.5 km)

takes you into a small green park near the hotel: turn left out of the hotel entrance in the direction of the Westkreuz Park. There you can run along the side of the park or a short distance right through the green surroundings. After successfully completing the course, you can return via the small side streets to Bodenseestraße and that’s you back to the ECONTEL HOTEL Munich. Tip: if you are up for a linger run, simply add in a few laps of the sports field found on the route.

Route II (5.5 km) – “In the footsteps of a world champion boxer”

As once run by boxing world champion Henry Maske, route II runs directly from the hotel into a green area. Among other sights, you jog past the impressive Freiham Estate with its own “Heilig Kreuz” church, and arc back to Bodenseestraße on which you round off your jog on a well-built cycling and skating path, leading directly back to the hotel.

An alternative for route II (4.5 km)

If peace and quiet is more important to you when jogging than how much distance you cover, leave Freihamer Allee before you get to the Freiham Estate, turning right onto a dirt road and cross the Deutsche Bahn sports field back onto Papinstraße and back to the hotel.

The Trimm-Dich-Pfad (get fit trail) in Paul Diehl Park

There are a range of sporting options in Paul Diehl Park. You can get to the green city park in just a few minutes by car. Leave your car on “Am Wasserbogen” street, and you are just a few steps from the park where the Trimm-Dich-Pfad offers a diverse range of exercises for building strength and stamina.

Westkreuz Fitness Park

Here you can relax in the sauna after a stressful day or get active with one of the various sporting offers (taster courses are also available)… Further information on all sport and leisure activities is of course available directly in the hotel! Simply ask at reception.
